George Cook, P.Eng., FCAE

Born and educated in Scotland, George Cook founded NORAM in 1988 and today serves as CEO. Under his leadership, the company has emerged as one of North America 's most successful private engineering and technology development enterprises. Mr. Cook has a distinguished track record for guiding process development companies from start-up through to commercialization and, ultimately, global penetration. Prior to forming NORAM, he served for many years as a vice president of a medium-sized international engineering contractor. He is currently a director of several BC and European companies, and a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering.

Alfred Guenkel, P.Eng., Ph.D., FCAE

As partner and Principal Chemical Engineer, Alfred Guenkel leads the design and commissioning activities of chemical plants offered by NORAM, including nitrobenzene, aniline, chloralkali, sodium chlorate, sulfuric acid and wastewater treatment facilities. He has an extensive background in the chemical process industries worldwide, and was elected Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering in 2002.

Tony Boyd, P.Eng., Ph.D.

Tony Boyd holds the position of Vice President – New Ventures, and also leads the MRT (Membrane Reactor Technologies) division at NORAM. Tony has worked for many years as a process engineer within the MNB, chlorine and sulphuric acid activities at NORAM, and he has been actively involved in technology development, project management, and NORAM’s close association with the University of British Columbia.

Clive Brereton, Ph.D.

Clive Brereton leads all process development work at NORAM in the capacity of Vice President, Technology, and also acts as Director, Electrochemistry. He is the recipient of a number of awards, and is an Associate Professor with the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of British Columbia.

Kevin Dodds, CMA

Kevin Dodds is the Chief Financial Officer and plays a leading role securing company contracts, commercial transactions, and investment activities. He has extensive experience in corporate finance, international trade, and accounting. Mr. Dodds is a director and officer of several Noram affiliates.

Ira Wolff, P.Eng., Ph.D, M.B.A.

Ira Wolff brings twenty years of engineering and business experience in the metallurgical, materials and process industries in South Africa , Germany and Canada to his role as Director, Business Development. Dr. Wolff comes from a background in R&D management, with a strong focus on product development and end-use marketing. His expertise is concentrated in the area of international technology transfer and commercialization.
