A large, 80 ton replacement gas exchanger based on NORAM's patented Radial Flow™ (RF™) design for sulphuric acid plant duty has been delivered to site.
Heat and mass balances by NORAM for various gas strength scenarios led to the sizing and performance specification of a new Cold Interpass Exchanger. The state-of-the-art Radial Flow™ design offers exceptional low pressure drop and high heat duty performance, and has found application in almost 100 exchangers in acid plants around the world.
NORAM undertook complete mechanical design, fabrication, testing, and delivery to site. Included in the deliverables were detailed design installation drawings and the fabrication and supply of all tie-in ducting spools.
