Another NORAM MNB Plant for China

NORAM has signed a contract with Shandong Jinling New Material Company Limited, a member of the Shandong Jinling group, for the supply of a mononitrobenzene (MNB) plant.

MNB is a primary feedstock in the production of aniline, and ultimately polyurethane. The Shandong Jinling facility is poised to become the thirteenth world-scale plant based on NORAM's proprietary nitration technology, and further cements NORAM's dominant position in the global industry.

The Shandong Jinling facility is the third producer in the PRC to incorporate the NORAM process. The facility will be situated in the Dongying Industrial Park in Shandong province, and have a nameplate capacity of 280,000 MTPY. Expected start-up of the plant is 2011.
