This year's International Sulphur Conference and Exhibition will be held at the Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre in Vancouver, BC from 8-11 November 2009.
Over 400 representatives from the products, technology, and equipment sectors will converge on Vancouver to review the status of the global sulphur and sulphuric acid industries and their prospects.
NORAM, as one of North America's leading sulphuric acid equipment and technology suppliers, has long been a supporter of the annual event. NORAM is a sponsor of Sulphur 2009, and will be presenting two papers. The first, entitled: "A Study of the Combustion process in a Sulphur Furnace Using CFD", examines how greater throughput was achieved from a replacement furnace with no increase in external dimensions. The second, "Progress Report on Two Shop-Fabricated 2,750 MTPD Sulphuric Acid Plants" provides an update on the supply of acid plants for the colossal Ambatovy Nickel Project in Madagascar, with engineering partner Bateman Engineering Projects.
