Supercritical Water Oxidation (SCWO) is a clean and energy-efficient alternative to incineration for complete organic waste destruction such as nitrophenols effluent, hazardous biowaste and municipal sludge. It has demonstrated thorough destruction of toxic organics in many real waste streams and promises to be a viable solution for many industrial and municipal applications.

NORAM has partnered with the University of British Columbia Faculty of Applied Science to build the largest SCWO pilot plant in Canada.
